Our colleagues from the Magnetometry Department are participating this week in the European conference Physics of Magnetism 2026, taking place in Poznań, Poland. The meeting is jointly organized by the Institute of Molecular Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań. This year, the conference celebrates its 50th anniversary, with over 300 participants and more than 100 lectures.
Melinda Majerová presented her work Structural and magnetic analysis of spinel high entropy oxides synthesized by sol-gel and solution combustion synthesis. This work was carried out in collaboration with the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry SAS (https://uach.sav.sk) and the University of Trenčín (FunGlass, https://www.funglass.eu), and was supported by projects VEGA 2/0104/25, APVV-23-0366, and APVV-23-0424.
Martin Škrátek presented his work Specification and quantitative magnetic analysis of iron-containing species in animal tissues using SQUID magnetometry, carried out in collaboration with the Institute of Normal and Pathological Physiology, CEM SAS (https://unpf.sav.sk). This work was funded by the EU NextGenerationEU through the Recovery and Resilience Plan for Slovakia, project No. 09I03-03-V04-00528.
