Position
The Institute of Measurement Science of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava offers part-time work opportunities for university students. Students will assist in solving partial tasks of scientific research projects within the individual scientific departments of the Institute of Measurement Science of the Slovak Academy of Sciences:
- Department of Optoelectronic Measuring Methods
- Department of Magnetometry
- Department of Theoretical Methods
- Department of Imaging Methods
- Department of Biomeasurements
We offer work on interesting topics and, upon agreement, the prospect of continuing a professional career. For interested applicants, we also provide a selection of topics for bachelor’s and master’s theses. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to continue their doctoral studies.
The Institute functions as an external educational institution of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, where it conducts full-time and part-time doctoral studies in the study program Measurement Technology (in the field of Electrical Engineering). It also serves as an external educational institution of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of Comenius University in Bratislava, offering full-time and part-time doctoral studies in the program Applied Mathematics (in the field of Mathematics).
The Institute of Measurement also offers employment opportunities for university graduates in the position of research or development worker with a university degree, to work on partial tasks of scientific research projects, with the prospect of starting doctoral studies the following year.
Employment relationship specification
Type of contract: Agreement on temporary student work for a definite period.
Expected workload: approximately 40 hours per month.

We are looking for a student with programming skills in the field of microcomputers and proficiency in a higher programming language (C / C++ or Visual C / Basic).

Department of Biomeasurements
We are looking for a student for the development and implementation of components of experimental measurement systems for biomedicine, cooperation in the design of new measurement and imaging methods for medicine, processing of biosignals and medical images, and development of software applications for experimental verification of proposed methods.

Salary
Part-time student contract (approx. 40 hours/month).
Salary: €200 per month, in accordance with applicable legislation.
Professional requirements for the applicant:
Bachelor’s or Master’s university student in the relevant field of study at FEI STU, FMFI UK, or equivalent (electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, informatics).

When a position in a selected department is filled, the offer remains valid for vacancies in other departments until all part-time student positions have been filled.
