Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) system sensitivity
PhD study program: Measurement Technology
Akademic year: 2020-2021
Advisor: Ing. Peter Andris, PhD. (umerandr@savba.sk)
External educational institution: Institute of Measurement Science SAS
Accepting university: Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Institute of Electrical Engineering
Annotation:
Research of measuring methods and systems for periodical diagnostics of the functional state of the system with nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) based on measurement of noise signals and other interfering signals and with the use of digital processing methods and computer modeling. Research of their possible application for inspection qualities of selected NMR system. The applicant is expected to have knowledge of the signal theory, numerical methods of signal and image processing as well as the ability of programming. Knowledge of professional English and ability to work with electronic information resources is required. During the study the PhD student will extend his knowledge of theoretical radio-electronics, radio-electronic measurements, and modeling of electrical circuits with non-harmonic signals and will gain experience with their application in diagnostics and improving sensitivity of systems with nuclear magnetic resonance.
