Practical data science in big industry- Why it is not what people think

We will take a tour of various practical aspects of industrial data science: data quality, data validation, data understanding and finally the proper analytics. We will base on real examples from my recent projects. I will explain why I am not passionate about Machine Learning, and I will try to show a glimpse of the richness of insight which you can achieve with other methods. I feel that the practical work as data scientist is very distant from what is generally taught and advertised. In my opinion, it is actually more interesting.
