In the Department of Optoelectronic Measurement Methods of the Institute of Measurement of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, a measurement system for automated measurement of the inclination of the reactor vessel of the fourth unit of the Mochovce nuclear power plant has been developed and put into trial operation in 2023. This measurement system uses the principle of hydronivelisation and pendametry with optoelectronic sensing of the measured values with high resolution measurement of the level and displacement of the pendameter hinge at the level of 1 micrometer. The measurement system has been in trial operation since 15.11.2023 and will contribute to increasing the safety standards of the operation of the Mochovce nuclear power plant after the nuclear fuel is weighed and the Unit 4 operation starts.
Applicator of the result: Slovenské elektrárne, a.s.
