The conference traditionally was devoted to three main topics: theoretical problems of measurement, measurement of physical quantities and measurement in biology and medicine. Three invited lectures opened the scientific sessions. The first one, presented by Dr. Kessel from PTB Braunschweig (Germany), was about uncertainty evaluation for quality tracking in natural gas grids. The second one, presented by prof. Kozmann from University of Panonia in Veszprém (Hungary) was devoted to the new possibilities and constraints in bioelectrical imaging. The third one, prpeared by prof. Trattnig (Austria) but finally presented by his close coworker Dr. Szomolanyi documented the new possibilities of the MR imaging using the 7 Tesla tomograph in Vienna. In 10 sessions another 46 oral presentations were given and 38 contributions were presented as posters during two poster sessions.

From 18 submitted works, as the best poster and oral presentations the contributions of Jakub Schlenker (Czech Republic) and Dr. L. Valkovic (Slovakia) were selected. Authors were also invited to submit full papers for publication in the Measurement Science Review journal.
The Congress Center in the Smolenice castle again created good working atmosphere during the conference and enabled numerpous informal discussions during the sessions and breaks, and stimulated new starting cooperations. Besides the scientific program, excursions to the historical city of Trnava and a hiking tour to Little Carpatians were organized.
