High Resolution Multiple-lead ECG measurement for model based interpretation of cardiac electrical field

International project

Project duration: 01/2013 - 12/2015

Principal investigator: doc. Ing. Milan Tyšler, CSc.

Co-operating institutions: Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering Polish Academy of Sciences (IBIB PAN), Warsaw, Poland

The aim of the project is the cooperation in analysis and model-based interpretation of high resolution multi-leads ECG measurements data. This concerns the development of new methods for non-invasive diagnostics of specific cardiac insufficiencies such as ischemia and risk of ventricular arrhythmias, important in prevention of sudden cardiac death of patient after myocardial infarction. The experimental data and theoretical results of model-based interpretation of cardiac electric field will be exchanged within the project. The noninvasive high resolution ECG measurements with verification of developed new diagnostic procedures will be provided in cooperation with medical centers in both countries (Department of Cardiology, Warsaw Medical University, Warsaw, Poland and The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Bratislava, Slovakia).
